family conflict, parenting challenges, and children’s behavioral difficulties. She holds a
Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Clinical Sociology and Family Therapy from the
University of North Texas and is currently completing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
With over 25 years of experience in health and family support, Tamar brings compassion,
insight, and practical wisdom to her work. Her approach is rooted in deep care for people
and a commitment to helping others grow, heal, and thrive.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative and client-centered, combining evidence-based
modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS),
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), guided imagery, trauma-informed care, and treatment
for eating disorders and addictions. In addition, Tamar is passionate about the healing power
of creativity and incorporates expressive arts—including art and drama therapy—into her
clinical work. She runs expressive art groups and teaches courses in art and drama therapy,
blending psychology with artistic expression to foster emotional healing and growth.
Based in Israel, Tamar maintains a clinical practice in Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, and Moshav
Mattityahu. She is affiliated with Taazumut, a family and children’s clinic, and The Place:
The Center for Healing Emotional Well-Being. She also taught psychology courses at Naaleh
College and has worked extensively with Nitza, the Israel Center for Maternal Care,
supporting women experiencing postpartum depression, anxiety, and the emotional
challenges of new motherhood.
As a gifted visual artist specializing in oil painting, Tamar creates deeply expressive,
evocative works that explore themes of resilience, connection, and inner beauty. Her
artwork is a natural extension of her therapeutic philosophy, embodying the belief that
creativity and artistic expression are vital paths to emotional wellbeing and healing.
