Sharni is an Australian licensed psychologist with over 25 years of experience in community health and private practice. She specializes in transitions, aliyah/immigration, anxiety disorders, OCD, developmental trauma, and the emotional impact of neurodiversity. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology (Hons) from the University of NSW and a master’s in psychotherapy from the University of Sydney. Sharni’s therapeutic approach combines CBT, DBT, psychodynamic methods, an attachment framework, and nervous system regulation.
In addition to offering one-on-one psychotherapy, Sharni runs seminars, workshops, and group interventions. She works with the AACI, lecturing on culture shock and the stages of aliyah, and treats PTSD associated with terrorism.
