Mendy is a certified mediator with a rich experience in a broad range of varied and diverse situations, who supports the litigants in re-channeling their adversarial and confrontational energy towards dialogue and cooperation. Mendy empowers the parties to explore and express their real needs and encourages the participants to assume responsibility and be active contributors in the decision-making process. In family mediation the children’s interests receive their deserved attention and careful consideration. The children ultimately always benefit when decisions about their upbringing and about their future are jointly made by their parents by means of respectful dialogue. The adverse effects of divorce on children and their parents are considerably mitigated when an agreement is reached through mediation. Mediation is the preferred option in resolving any conflict especially when the parties are in an ongoing relationship and particularly when the outcome affects children. It also provides an opportunity for the necessary closure to a prolonged intimate relationship allowing the parties to make a fresh start with reduced anguish and distress.
A mediated agreement has by far higher chances of being honored by the sides then a court ordered decision. Mediation is also much cheaper and faster than a legal process and the parties have control over the outcome with an opportunity to reach a win-win agreement.
Mendy is also a person-centered therapist who skillfully connects with his clients and forges with them a strong therapeutic relationship. Mendy aims to help clients with self-discovery and building resilience. Strongly believing in every person’s innate ability to grow and change, Mendy guides his clients along an exciting journey of self-exploration.
Mendy has trained at the Path Center Jerusalem as Clinical Mental Health Counsellor.
