Dov Moshe Litwin is a licensed practitioner who has over 20 years experience in the field of Social Work. He received his Masters in 1992 from Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work in New York and his certificate in Family Therapy and Counseling in 2008 from the Family Institute at Neve Yerushalayim in Jerusalem, Israel. In 2013 -2015, Dov received intensive training in the treatment of Child Sexual Abuse through The Haruv Institute in Israel, and in 2015, was trained by the Israel Association of Psychotherapy in the “SEE FAR CBT” method for treating trauma.

Dov is no stranger to the adolescent American yeshiva population in Israel, as he has devoted passion and skill to formulating a comprehensive therapeutic approach to address the myriad of issues confronting today’s American adolescents. As such, his ‘hands on’ experience with this segment has been extensive. Dov’s strength and success resides in his exceptional ability to understand his clients and to bring them to health, functionality and productivity.

In addition to working as a Psychotherapist at The Place, Dov is a supervisor as well for The Wurzweiler School of Social Work where he trains students engaged in their field work placements here at The Place.

Dov is a Psychotherapist with a well rounded profile and a vast array of educational and work experiences which include his Juris Doctor law degree from Yeshiva University’s Cardozo School of Law, his experiences as Director of Operations for a successful Pharmaceutical company, his Investment Broker’s License, Liberal Arts undergraduate background, artistic talents as a musician and composer, as well as his years of learning, teaching and counseling at various American yeshivos in Israel.

Dov’s awards include The National Dean’s List, Bar Ilan University’s Award of Excellence and the Kesten Overseas Fellowship Award for Excellence in Jewish Communal Service. His articles on various family therapy topics have appeared in Horizon Magazine, Targum Press, as well as “Torah Tidbits”–OU Israel’s weekly publication.

In addition to The Place, Dov currently works for Kav l’Noar, an organization that addresses the issues confronting adolescents and their families. Dov, as well, has worked for ‘Meytal-Bayit Lechol Yeled’ in Israel where his work has focused on the treatment of sexually abused children and the counseling of their families.
