“I would so love the opportunity to help more people with these special and powerful techniques”.
Shira Bauer
M.Sc, CLINICAL LOGO THERAPIST

Shira believes that even in difficult circumstances, it is possible to find meaning, direction, and hope.

Originally from South Africa, Shira has many years of counselling experience, with a particular focus over the past ten years on Logotherapy and Inner Child Healing with adults. She has a Master’s degree in Psychology and is a Certified Clinical Logo Therapist.

At the heart of Shira’s work is the belief that each person has their own values, strengths, and inner resources. Through Logotherapy, she helps clients explore what gives their lives meaning and discover how they can respond to their circumstances in ways that are true to who they are.

Shira also works with Inner Child Healing, helping adults safely explore experiences from the past that may still be affecting them today. She has led an Inner Child Healing Workshop, sharing practical ways to understand and work with these parts of ourselves.

Shira combines talk therapy with imagery, visualization, reflection, and values-based work. She aims to help clients develop greater self-understanding and leave therapy with practical tools they can use in everyday life.

She is currently continuing her professional training in the Trauma Unit at the Family Institute, deepening her understanding of trauma and its impact on individuals and relationships.

Shira is also The Place’s Intake and Troubleshooting Coordinator, working closely with the clinical team to help clients find the right therapist and navigate questions or challenges that arise along the way. Her close involvement with the team gives her a unique understanding of the therapists at The Place and the different ways they support their clients.

Shira is passionate about understanding each client as an individual and creating a warm, supportive space in which meaningful change can take place.
