"Insight, sensitivity, and encouragement changes lives."
Tamar Varon
M.Sc. Psychotherapist, Family Therapist & Expressive Arts Practitioner

Tamar Varon is an experienced psychotherapist and family therapist with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals, children, and families through challenging periods in their lives.

She works with children and adolescents, postpartum depression and anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, family conflict, parenting challenges, and behavioral difficulties. Tamar also works with eating disorders and addictions.

Her approach is integrative and highly practical, with a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She also draws from Internal Family Systems, DBT, guided imagery, and trauma-informed approaches, adapting her work to the needs of each client.

Creativity is an important part of Tamar’s work. A gifted visual artist, she incorporates art and drama into her therapy and leads groups and courses teaching Art Therapy. She believes that creative expression can help people access and express experiences that may be difficult to put into words.

Tamar has particular experience supporting women through postpartum depression, anxiety, and the emotional challenges of new motherhood. She has worked extensively with Nitza, the Israel Center for Maternal Care, and is affiliated with Taazumut, a family and children’s clinic.

Tamar holds an M.Sc. in Clinical Sociology and Family Therapy from the University of North Texas and is currently completing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
