Gavriella (Gavi) Bernstein, M.S., is a mental health counselor who is passionate about helping clients explore themselves, find healing, and build richer and more fulfilling lives. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bellevue University and her bachelor’s degree in human development with a concentration in Psychology from SUNY Empire State University. Her background includes work in addictions, child development, crisis intervention, and community outreach. Gavi works with individuals and couples on a range of concerns, including relationship and family dynamics, trauma, anxiety, phobias, intimacy issues and sexual health, and hoarding behaviors.
Drawing from an eclectic pool of orientations including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Polyvagal Theory, Gavi takes an integrative and individualized approach to therapy, tailoring interventions to meet each client’s unique needs. She strives to create a safe and empathetic space where clients can process difficult emotions, explore patterns in their lives, and develop the security and insight needed to thrive.
Gavi is particularly passionate about group work and as a group facilitator of several therapeutic groups, Gavi provides a collaborative environment where participants can share experiences, build supportive community, and practice new skills. By blending evidence-based techniques with a compassionate, client-centered approach, Gavi empowers clients to reconnect with their inner strengths and foster lasting emotional growth. Gavi made Aliyah in 2013 and currently lives in a suburb of Jerusalem with her husband and children.
