YitzchokLevenspilYitzchok Levenspil is a therapist living in the Jerusalem Area. He holds a Master’s in Clinical Counseling. He is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) from the National Board of Certified Counselors. Yitzchok has a rich and broad background in the field of mental health as well as in education. For nearly a decade Yitzchok has been working in Yeshivas as a either a mentor or a Rebbe. It was in this role where Yitzchok began to realize the numerous unaddressed and unspoken emotional needs and struggles which his students were confronted with. As a result, he began to pursue his training in mental health and served as a guidance counselor for numerous students within the Yeshiva system.

Currently, Yitzchok serves as a Rebbe and guidance counselor in Yeshivas Toras Moshe, a staff psychotherapist in The Place, as well in Taatzumot and as a school therapist in a Jerusalem-based cheder. He also maintains a private practice which is based in Jerusalem, where he serves a diverse clientele from both the Israeli and Anglo communities.

His past work experience includes guidance counseling at YTA High School and a staff psychotherapist at The Family Institute of Neve Yerushalayim.

Yitzchok has extensive training and experience in the treatment of depression, general anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, PTSD, relationship issues, building self-esteem and anger management. He specializes in the treatment of social anxiety, unresolved childhood trauma and depression.

Yitzchok is trained in Emotional Focused Therapy, Somatic Interventions for trauma, Gestalt, psychodynamic interventions, Solution Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.

Yitzchok’s general goal in therapy is to help his clients increase their personal awareness of themselves, their emotions and passions, so that they could ultimately learn how to accept their entire selves. Once they have developed a sense of self-acceptance, they are able to learn how to make positive changes and decisions in their lives.
