Naomi Sternberg

Naomi Sternberg is a seasoned New York State Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. She has 25 years of experience working with couples and families. She received her B.S. in Education and Psychology from Hunter College, New York. She then earned her M.S., M.F.T. from St. Thomas University, Miami, Florida. She also has a School Counseling Certificate from Brooklyn College, New York. She is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapy. She’s also a Fellow of the American Psychological Association.

 
Naomi has done post graduate work in attachment theory, abandonment, loss and marital therapy. She has developed her own specific couple counseling approach using Gottman, Imago, and EFT. She has been successful in restoring many couples’ relationships into a healthy homeostasis.
 
Naomi has an extensive background in foster care and adoptions. She was the coordinator of the Jewish Foster Care Program in Miami, Florida.

Naomi instituted an anti-bullying program in the Gur elementary school which is still being sustained. She supervised student interns, facilitated parenting, step parenting, and marriage workshops for couples. Naomi maintained a private practice throughout seeing teens, couples, families and individuals.
Since living in Israel, Naomi has worked in Taatzumot, presented parenting workshops for Hakshiva, counseled seminary girls in seminaries, and taught The Psychology of parenting at Yanar Institute. Naomi continues to see private clients in Yerushalayim and Ramat Beit Shemesh.
